Good thing I checked. The pack breakdown you gave me was wrong — and this is exactly why we don't just publish what's handed to us.
Your description said "3 foil cards." That's technically the total foil count but it hides the most important selling point of the product. Here's what the packs actually contain according to the official UVS sell sheet and Riot's own collectability article:
7 Common cards
3 Uncommon cards
2 foil Rares or better (the flex slots — these can upgrade to Epic)
1 foil of any rarity (can be Common through Overnumbered)
1 Token / Rune slot
That's a massive difference. "3 foil cards" makes it sound like you're getting shiny commons. "2 guaranteed foil Rares or better plus a wildcard foil" is what actually sells boxes. Every store that's just pasting "3 foils" is underselling their own product.
I've also pulled the full specs from the UVS sheet, so here's the complete listing:
Product Name:
Riftbound Origins Booster Box | League of Legends TCG
Status:
In stock
Description:
Origins is the debut set for Riftbound — Riot Games' entry into the TCG space, built on the League of Legends universe. Nearly 300 cards featuring original artwork from Riot's in-house artists, with a rarity system designed so every Champion Legend sits at Rare rather than Epic, meaning you can actually build the decks you want without chasing ultra-rare pulls.
Every pack guarantees two foil Rares or better in the flex slots, with Epics replacing a Rare roughly one in four packs. That gives you an average of 6+ Epics per box, plus around 2 alt-art cards and a shot at Overnumbered cards — the highest collectible tier, numbered above the 298-card base set. Signature Overnumbered variants with the artist's foil signature sit at roughly 1 in 360 packs.
